Reflective Writing.

What an amazing opportunity to play with different materials and to put our abilities to creatively solve things on test. Although this is not my area of preference, I’ve enjoyed the playful freedom we have been given to develop our tasks.

Build an object from your past.

We were given about 30 minutes to build our object with any materials we could find such as paper, cardboard, strings, etc. I built a tea cup inspired by a set of tea cups i used to have as a child. I enjoyed that there was no need to make it perfect but an enjoyable process. I’m very much thankful for that.

Make a diagram of society.

Since my work is very much inspired by judging society and trying to figure it out as well i decided to take the diagram to a more political and moral place dividing society between the good and the bad and then building other subjects from that. I had fun using strings to put the subjects together.

What should be visible but isn’t.

Something I’ve always thought is that if we were able to see peoples energy and auras everything would be easier. It’s also so beautiful how auras express and look, the colours and textures, like a whole art work made out of energy. I didn’t personally like the work i did on this task i found it very simple and clean almost boring but I’m aware it was because of the time we were given and because i wanted to dedicate more time in other tasks instead of this one.

Create a disguise for...

Collaging is one of my favourite techniques and this was such a great task i wanted to collage it. This task invited me, personally, to criticise the way society hides many things such as woman bodies, sex, among other things. I wanted to give the idea of how people feel so attacked by naked bodies when they are the most natural and human thing by giving it a more abstract interpretation which i also, love.
